Protecting Your Browser From Spyware Malware

I guess that the title of this Blog session should really be,

Protecting your computer from Spyware, Malware, Adware and other undesirable things while surfing the Internet.

Ask Yourself the following Questions.

{Tired of dealing with rogue software, spyware and malware}?

{Tired of spending hours removing unsolicited software}?

The Good News is, You can probably do something about it. Yes you really can. While reading one of the many newsletters that I regularly recieve in my mailbox, I found a little utility called (Sandboxie) and its free. It lets you run your Browser in a virtual machine while surfing the Internet. Its kind of like a protected Sandbox around your Browser letting things in the Sandbox but not letting them get out to harm your computer.

This way any incoming, unsolicited software (spyware, malware and the like) that you download, is trapped in the sandbox. Changes made to your list of Favorites or Bookmarks, hijacking of your preferred start page, new and unwanted icons on your desktop — all these, and more, are trapped in and bound to the sandbox. It works with Firefox and MSIE.

I am using it with Firefox and MSIE 7.0 Beta and so far it works great. You can only use it with Windows XP and 2000. It won’t work on older versions of Windows. Check it out.
