Remove Conduit From Chrome Browser

I wrote this up in the Hope that it will help someone who has the same problem that I had. I Hope that this will help you.

After many attempts trying to remove Conduit, and hours of searching and trying Virus, and Malware Removers that did not do the job, I finally got mad and started checking every setting in Google Chrome Browser. Here is how I solved the problem.

I am using the latest version of Google Chrome so to access the settings menu, you have to click on the 3 horizontal bars in the upper right hand corner of the browser and choose SETTINGS

In the Settings Menu Below where it says “On Startup” check  the box that says “Open a specific page or set of pages”. to the right of that is a link or drop down menu that says “Set Pages” click on it. In the popup window that says “Startup Pages” High lite each entry and click on the X to the right of each entry to remove it. remove all except Google.

Now you are back in the main settings menu go down to Search and under the menu “Set which search engine is used when searching from the omnibox.” be sure that Google is in the drop down box. Then click on the box to the right that says “Manage Search Engines…” and remove all entrys, except Google
